SERVPRO Assists Disabled Vet with Flood Damage in Grand Island

Flood damage is frustrating and in this Grand Island basement, a disabled vet found standing water that needed fast extraction. The technicians used truck mounted units to quickly remove the water and moved the furnishings into the center of the room for inspecting to see what articles could get full restoration for reuse by cleaning. The sheetrock around the bottom six inches needed removal using flood cuts to get rid of the deteriorated portion and also open up the area for complete drying. This action assists in limiting the potential for foul odors or mold and makes the repairs easy instead of requiring replacement of an entire wall.
