Serving Those Who Served, Helping a Grand Island Vet with Basement Water Damage
A disabled vet in Grand Island called SERVPRO for assistance with the removal of a large amount of water damage in a basement. The techs used a combination of extraction methods to handle the water that was a couple of inches deep. Drying a basement presents challenges because of the way the concrete substrate absorbs water and needs the power of the air movers to pull up embedded moisture to ensure the substrate verifies dry so secondary issues such as mold or foul odors are not a problem after the fact. Items in cardboard boxes got removed for inspection to restore as much as possible through cleaning and drying methods. A large number of articles were restored as seen in the After Photo, with the number of items on shelves after the area got dried and disinfected.
